Games involving 60 teams were played at rinks in communities around the area including Fergus, Drayton, Arthur and Grand Valley. GRAND VALLEY — On Aug. 11 to 13, Amaranth will be hosting the Coming Home Festival, a three-day music and wellness retreat.

The event will host 12 bands, holistic practitioners, music as medicine, workshops, local artisans, drumming circles, yoga, soundbath meditation, food vendors and forest camping along the Mud River.

The festival gates will open at 11am on Aug. 11, and will open at 7:30am the following two days.

Advertised as a family-oriented event, there will also be a “Shady Maples kids zone” which will include a sensory nature walk, chakra rock painting, kids yoga and some breathing games as well.

The Shady Maples will be open the Saturday and Sunday from 8 to 10am and 1 to 4pm. All children are welcome, and a short waiver and guardian contact will be required at drop-off.

All tickets for the event include camping, and youth passes are available. Children under the age of 12 will get in for free. Officials say tickets are limited. For more information visit: .
